The 1st official day of summer was the hottest we’ve seen in Florida since the 1980’s. In addition to the outdoor living and pools, another escape from the heat can be a cool shower or a relaxing bath. With this in mind, I’m going to look at storage, and accessories, that can upgrade the often over-looked bathroom!
If you have a compact bathroom, storage options and hampers come in many finishes that will transform your bathroom into a spa like retreat. One option is an above-toilet space saver. If you want dark woods for that spa feel, or summery Tuscan wrought iron for a more open feel, the options are endless. You can choose open shelves for candles and spa trinkets, or units with doors to store more private items.
The three piece set pictured above is a great option for small spaces and limited budgets. At 169.00 for all three pieces, it’s airy nuertal colors would be a great way to bring storage to a small bathroom. Reserve Deluxe, the dark wood model also pictured directly above, would be my pick for the spa feel that is so popular right now. It offers luxury, enclosed storage, and an open shelf for decorative items.
In addition to buying storage pieces, hampers come in many nice finishes and styles you wouldn’t have to hide in the closet. If you have a large master bath and size isn’t really an issue, look at bathroom cabinets.
The Curio from Powell is a great piece, and like the Reserve model above it would offer private storage, and display shelves. Some new towels, a shower curtain, low VOC paint, and storage furniture, and the plain bathroom would become a welcoming place to relax at the end of the day. Other great options if you have a large bathroom and want even more luxury could include a decorative fireplace. Also, wall art, candles, aroma therapy kits, and waterproof music systems are all readily available for numerous budgets.
