Inspired!

After a hard day of work, the craziness that life throws at you, what type of bedroom do you need? I want an escape. I want something that is warm and comforting and rich. You might want something that soothes, or uplifts. Maybe take inspiration from a recent vacation, or a local show room. You don’t have to copy or attempt to duplicate your inspiration; just draw ideas from it.

A Photo I Took In New Orleans

A Photo I Took In New Orleans

A recent trip to New Orleans’s French Quarter was inspiring to say the least. My hotel room was full of red woods and large-scale classic furniture and modern bedding. The mix of classic styles and modern posh touches made me want it for myself back home.

I liked the wood tones but maybe something a little less red for home. And the scale would be a bit much for me personally, but I did like the elevated feel the bed gave me; Like I was crawling somewhere wonderful.

Modus's Luca Storage Bed

Modus's Luca Storage Bed

The Luca Storage Bed offers me the height that in my mind equals luxury, but in a more modern feel that fits my style. It has storage built in as well; which is great! If you have limited space opt for a amazing headboard instead.

If you like your bed just the way it is but want a little more relaxation in your boudoir try making a sitting area. It can be for reading, or for dressing.

So this chair and ottoman is clean yet warm with a tufted back. A nice little side table for morning coffee and some wall art and you will have a totally new feel to the room. Remember that if you are inspired by something, incorporate it to your existing design or room. You deserve it; we all do.
