Eco-Friendly Fix: Coffee Grounds?

Did you know that what you enjoy as a morning wake up call can actually help you fix your furniture?

Coffee grounds are a great, non-toxic solution to those little scratches and dings in your wood furniture that come after years of use. Scuffs and slight markings can actually be repaired by taking coffee grounds and applying them to the scuff as a light stain.

To make this trick work, you need coffee grinds and a cotton swab. Dip the cotton swab into the coffee grinds. Then, lightly apply the coffee grinds to the damaged area and wait a few hours for it to dry. See how it affects the color and then reapply if needed to get a darker stain. If it comes out to dark, don’t worry – a slightly darker scuff is much harder to see than a very light scuff.
